CIT 115 - Guide to the Internet


This hands-on course is for students who want to become proficient at using the Internet. This course starts with the basics of connecting to the Internet and moves on to electronic mail, sending and receiving files and using telnet to connect to remote sites. Students also learn to use information retrieval tools to locate and retrieve files, and to convert those files into a usable format. Students will use graphic Internet interfaces such as Netscape to access the Internet.
Prerequisite(s): CPT104 Introduction to Windows
