CIT 110 - Theory of Computing This course provides students with an understanding of the components of the computer and how these components coordinate with each other to become a computer system. Topics covered include hardware and its functions, operating systems and how they coordinate and manage computer activities, computer terminology, the various uses of computers in the home and office, data storage, the future of technology, computer ethics, and other concerns. This course lays the foundation required in technical education and serves as a stand-alone overview of the use of technology in office automation. Corequisite(s): CIT100 Microcomputer Applications 3 credits
