CHC 200 - Human Growth and Development II


The course examines the child from a cognitive psychosocial perspective. Perspectives of the major human development theorists are explored thorough their research and application to early child programs. Perspectives are examined in the context of the individual, the family, group and school. Theoretical notions are explored through classroom observations spanning early childhood and adolescence. Development Emphasis is placed on current empirical research into issues and solutions in group and community contexts. Classroom delivery.
Prerequisite(s): CHC110 Human Growth and Development I, PSY100 General Psychology or HUS100 Introduction to Human Services
